ARTIST MEET & GREET – Lake Studio for the Arts – Lake of the Ozarks, MO

Final preparations are underway for our Artist Meet & Greet this Friday night from 5:30-7:30. This will be our first official “open house,” and we have gone to great lengths to make it a special time for guests to mingle with local artists and their original works. Appetizers will include salmon mousse, liver pate’, baklava, and champagne punch.  There will also be dulcimer music.

Honorary guest author Bambi Shen, from Kansas City, will be signing her autobiography The Uncrushable Rose, and discussing the upcoming Writer’s Workshop on Saturday at the Unity Church.

The next art  event will be the Lake Area Fiber Festival, held at the Camdenton Christian Church on October 10 from 9-4.  This is a festival showcasing a variety of art related to natural materials such as wool, alpaca, silk, bamboo, etc. and vendors will be selling raw materials, tools, and handmade items in their booths.  Call Bonnie Black for more information at 501-960-3625 or go to the website at lakeareafiberartists.com

There will also  be a fine art show and sale  under tents at the First Bank of the Lake in front of the Osage Beach Premium Outlet Mall from 10-4 on October 17.  This is sponsored by the Ozark Brush and Palette Club, and will feature local fine artists.  Call Mary Andeline to register at 573-374-9297.

Thank you for any assistance you can offer to inform the public of these important and enjoyable art events.  There is not a big budget  for paid ads, but we will do what we can.  If you cannot send photographers to these events, we will take photos and send them to you.
