About 12 years ago I took a couple of basket classes for fun. After hundreds of baskets it's still fun! There are so many kinds of styles and colors, boredom is never a problem. I use color extensively, and prefer the Cherokee style of weaving, which uses twill weave to form patterns. Combine with color and you have very visual baskets. Of course, I also enjoy doing the more traditional work such as market, and large work style baskets, always with plenty of color.
