Hats Off – Sam Davisson – Silver Dollar City Liason for BOMH

Hats off to juried Best of Missouri Hands studio artist, Sam Davisson.  Sam works tirelessly behind the scene’s to provide an excellent opportunity to our juried artists to show, create and sell their work at one of the nations leading theme parks…Silver Dollar City.

Most folks are probably well acquainted with Silver Dollar City located in the heart of Branson, MO.  Over the years Branson has established itself as a top destination for entertainment, ranking among the top alongside, Las Vegas and New York.  One major draw for Branson is Silver Dollar City which puts working artists and craftsmen in front of thousands of visitors every year as they visit the world acclaimed theme park.  Sam plays a major role for the park by helping secure gifted, talented artists for which the guest come back time after time to see.

Besides gathering juried Best of Missouri Hands artists for the park, Sam oversees each artists move in and move out dates.  This is no easy task juggling multiple artists and filling the allotted spaces available to BOMH artists.  Not only is he a great ambassador for the BOMH but he is also a very talented artists himself.  He is no stranger to glass, torch work on copper, mixed media and sculpture.  You can get your hands on an original work of art by Sam at one of the many shows he does with his wife, juried BOMH artists Patti Zieche-Davisson.  When visiting Sam’s hometown of Sedalia, MO you can always stop by the Art Impressions Gallery on Ohio Avenue, where you can find a few of his flame painted copper pieces.

If you have not been to Silver Dollar City yet this year….make plans now.  The Fall Harvest and Cowboy Festival runs through October 31st.  Numerous Best of Missouri Hands artists have been demonstrating and selling their work already, with several more yet to move in.  The weather has been wonderful and the entertainment, activities, rides, food and artists are top notch!
