About Us

About Our Art

At ASL Pewter, Thomas and Patricia Hooper craft fine, traditional pewterware using the same processes as those used 300 years ago! We cast in molds, we spin the metal using a lathe and we weld pieces together. We make many of our molds in house, using our original designs. but we also cast in antique molds from as early as 1650.  In 2019, we started adding color to our pieces using alcohol based inks for a contrast with the silver metal.  All our work is done by hand in our studio in Ste. Genevieve.  You are welcome to visit us and watch us make your new family heirloom.
