Faith Bemiss, a native of Sedalia, is a nationally recognized, award winning fine art and magazine photographer. She was co-owner of Art Impressions Gallery, in Sedalia from 2000 to 2008, and is the food writer for “The Sedalia Democrat” newspaper, a position she’s held since 1997.

Her photography mainly deals with nature, the outdoors and the vintage western buildings, but she has recently began adding photo abstracts to her portfolio. In addition she is exploring night sky and astrophotography.

At present she is author of a 75 page photo/poetry book filled with 30 original poems and 73 color photos, titled “Toward the Sun.”
