About Us

About Our Art

rt has always been a part of my life, and I can’t remember anytime that I haven’t been doing some form of it. After taking time off to raise a family, I decided that it was time to get back to the art I love. So, in 1990, I dusted off my brushes and enrolled in various art classes at State Fair Community College and Central Missouri State University to update, refresh and reinvigorate my talent. Since that time, I have become an accomplished, award-winning artist. The scope of my artistic talent covers a wide range of media, including acrylic, oil, watercolor and clay.

Then, while playing around with scrap pieces of museum board, I discovered what a beautiful effect drybrush acrylic watercolor could produce when applied on black museum board. While letting the black board set the basis for the darks, I then build the light areas with multiple thin washes of acrylic which adds a richness and depth to the painting. This has opened a whole new direction and taken my art to another level.

While I maintain a full-time job as art director and graphic designer for an advertising agency, I still find time for commission work ranging from portraits, landscapes, pet portraits, greeting cards, magazine article illustrations and paintings reproducing family heirloom photographs.

My work is proudly displayed in a variety of corporate collections including the Citizens Farmers Bank of Cole Camp, Phoenix Manufacturing Co., Cole Camp, MO; Maggard, Metja and Thompson Insurnace Co., Callis & Associates, Septagon Industries, Sedalia, MO; Leeson Electric, Lincoln, MO , Aleternative Mountain Baking Co., Asheville, N C and numerous private collections in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachuetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Great Britain and China.
