About Our Art
I began making fused glass in order to make something unique, shiny and colorful to give to others. I was a quilter looking for a new medium, one that involved a little danger but still provided the opportunity to work with patterns, colors and pieces that needed to fit like a puzzle. Glass comes together more quickly than fabric with an element of surprise from what goes on inside the kiln. In addition to making traditional molded plates and bowls, I make all kinds of jewelry and accessories. I favor primary colors, dichroic and iridescent glass. I guess I still like things unique, shiny and colorful.
