First Friday Art Adventures are an opportunity for kids ages 6 to 12 to create hands-on projects, nurture their creativity and make something that is cool and fun!
February 5 @ 4 p.m.
Project: Panda Painting
Participants will be led step-by-step by local artist and HAC Program Director, Brenda Beck Fisher to complete an acrylic painting of a panda on a 12” x12” canvas.
$10 per child ($5 per child for HAC members)
Scholarships available upon request.

Making Wooden Storm/Screen Doors

Making Wooden Storm Doors is a fun and intense, three-day, hands-on learning experience.
This is a tuition-based class limited to 10 students. You will be working side-by-side all 3 days in the shop with instructor Bob Yapp who has been a woodworker & furniture designer/maker for 42 years. This will be an intense, learn-by-doing opportunity. All students completing the class will receive a “Certificate of Completion”.
Homeowners, small contractors, preservation staff, preservation commission members, preservation students and historic building owners will all benefit from this hands-on, traditional training event. All skill levels are encouraged to sign up. Inexpensive motels as well as bed & breakfast inns are available for out of town students.
Tuition: $375
Includes fresh ground morning coffee, snacks, beverages and a home cooked lunch. Space is limited to ten students and pre-registration is required to secure a spot in the workshop.
