It was hot, hot, hot, but I persevered and it paid off. This painting “Twilight in Ste. Gen”, pastel, 6×12, was awarded 1st place for the twilight quick paint on Friday by judge Charles Rhinehart of The Rhinehart & Rhinehart’s Gallery, AND Honorable Mention in the Pastel/Watercolor category Saturday at the Ste Genevieve Art Guild Plein Air Event.

Thank you to the judges, Billyo O’Donnell, Craig Thomas, and Bryan Haynes, for the Honorable Mention! Wow. I am blown away about these four judges choosing my painting for recognition! I am on cloud 9! To top it all off, it also sold to a very nice man. Thank you, John Karil for supporting my habit!
