Subliminal: Hidden Messages – Cape Girardeau

Four members of the Ste. Genevieve Art Guild were chosen to be part of a national juried art exhibition titled “Subliminal: Hidden Messages,” presented by the Bank of Missouri in downtown Cape Girardeau this summer.
From across the country, only 27 works were juried into the show. The four Guild artists accepted were Suzanne Thompson and Iris Vincent of Ste. Genevieve,  James W. Wooldridge Jr. of Crystal City and Dave Carter of Cape Girardeau.
Submitting artists were encouraged to enter works that include subliminal stimuli to reinforce the content of their works.
Dave Carter is a juried member of the Best of Missouri Hands and owns his own studio in Cape Girardeau, “Dave’s Studio/Visual Art Services.” He holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in studio art from Truman State University in Kirksville, with concentrations in painting, ceramics and photography.
