Regional Meet Up Events

BOMH is encouraging our members across the state to connect with those in their areas. Artists are often working in isolation and several members have expressed a need and desire to connect with other artists. Thus we are encouraging regional gatherings.

Some members have come forth and raised their hands to “host” regional gatherings, and we continue to look for other members as well. To learn more, please keep reading.

Hosts must be BOMH members. If you’re not a member but would like to host, I’d be happy to share more about joining. Multiple hosts are welcome, especially in more populated regions.

Anyone can attend. Non-members are welcome at gatherings, though we encourage all Missouri artists to consider becoming members.

Gatherings can be simple and informal, for example, coffee with fellow artists, a studio visit, attending a show together, or even a walk in the park. Whatever works for your group. Group gatherings do not have to incur an expense.

For those unable to attend in-person events: We offer a monthly Artists Talk via Zoom (first Tuesday of each month, for members). We’re also exploring additional online meetups for both members and non-members. Let me know if that interests you.

Privacy note: If you are hosting, please be aware that BOMH cannot share a list of members in your area. However, we will contact members in your region so they can contact you.

When does this begin? Whenever you’re ready, it can start now.

We’re excited to see how these gatherings grow and how they’ll strengthen connections across Missouri.
