About Our Art

Adriana Brown is an acrylic painter based in Hannibal, Missouri. She grew up in the Kansas City area and attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City to study art and psychology. She is passionate about the healing power of art and frequently blends her two areas of study. After working for several years in the mental health field, she is now working as a full time artist and business owner, exhibiting and selling artwork around the United States, instructing local art classes and am co-owner of Alliance Art Gallery in Hannibal, Missouri. Adriana’s artwork falls into two different genres, Nostalgic Landscapes and Narrative Surrealism, where she tells a visual story about a theme she is drawn to, usually working in a series. Her latest series is Memories Make their Mark, where she paints figures with wrinkles like tree rings, exploring the beauty and privilege in aging. She is committed to making others feel seen, heard, and inspired through my artwork.
