About Our Art
I began my journey into fused glass in 2009 with a locally-sponsored fusing class and have continued to gain experience through other live classes, online webinars and tutorials, private tutoring, glass forums, books, and lots of experimentation. I do both functional and non-functional pieces and some abstract work.
For close to 20 years, I lived on a 300-acre farm in the beautiful Missouri countryside close to the Gasconade River. My connection to animals and nature drew me into doing animal portraits and landscapes using fine glass powder. I also create pieces using enamels on glass. Working with glass powders continues to be my passion and my main focus as I develop my body of work.
In addition to being a juried member of Best of Missouri Hands, I am also a juried member of Summit Art in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. I have pieces on display in local Missouri galleries and a glass gallery in Florida. I also have won awards for my work in several art shows.
