About Our Art
My artwork is created using a reverse painting technique on clear surfaces like plexiglass and glass, working in all kinds of shapes and sizes. I start with the details first, then build up layers of vibrant color, texture, and shape on the back of the transparent material before flipping it over to see the finished piece. Think of it as looking through a window.
I work with a mix of acrylic paint, acrylic ink, gouache, alcohol ink, and pens, using brushes, my hands, and even unconventional tools to apply paint and scrape through layers, revealing unexpected shapes and colors beneath. Music is at the heart of my process—I don’t just listen while I paint; I translate what I hear into color and movement, letting the rhythm guide my brushstrokes. Hearts are an important part of my process. You will likely find a hidden heart in my pieces, or find some that are painted directly on heart shapes. I ironically, my dad died of a rare heart condition, and yet he had the best heart of anyone I know. I try to put a little of his loving spirit in everything I do.
I create vibrant art for people who feel deeply and want to brighten their corner of the world. With bold colors, loving hearts, and a whole lot of good vibes, my art is here to lift spirits, spread love, and remind us all to live life heart first.
