About Our Art
Thank you for your interest in my artwork! Most of my creative time is spent working on commissioned portraits (a simple request from a friend that snowballed!) as well as original colored pencil and mixed media art. It’s often commented that I have a gift of capturing the essence of the subjects that I draw – I’m blessed to be able to incorporate a heart of empathy into the expression of my artistic talents, and I love what I do. I love realistic art, and drawings that capture joy, life’s little details, and subtle humor. If you’d like to see my work in progress, please follow my Instagram here! My work can be found in private collections across the US, as well as in Canada and the UK.
A self taught artist, I have also worked for over a decade as a brand ambassador, licensed illustrator and educator in the paper art and craft industry. My rubber stamp designs are purchased by crafters worldwide through Impression Obsession. I am the Artist in Residence at Splitcoaststampers.com, where I curate and create crafting and mixed media tutorials and co-edit a newsletter that reaches over 170,000 readers.
I’m located just north of Truman Lake, where I work from home – in addition to commission work and tutorials, I have an online store where I sell items that feature my artwork (prints, notecards, pendants) as well as jewelry designs. I teach colored pencil workshops regularly in Sedalia and I’m working on an online class as well. I recently founded a Facebook group to highlight the arts in Benton County, MO, and I look forward to seeing where that leads.
