Hello!  I am the artist/owner of Janelle Patterson Art located in Springfield, Missouri.  I’ve been working as a professional artist for over a decade and absolutely love my work.  After completing my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Art Education at the University of Missouri-Columbia, I moved to southwest Missouri and taught high school and elementary art before pursuing art full-time.

I work primarily in bright, bold acrylics and alcohol inks and often incorporate heavy texture to visually explore emotions related to my subjects.  I love utilizing the juxtaposition of abstracted backgrounds against highly detailed animals, plants, and locations.  While my business is primarily canvas paintings, I also create hand painted glassware, piggy banks, and ornaments by request.
