For me, creativity is not a desire it is a need that has to be filled. When I stop learning and creating I stop living. Profound statements but ones that I truly believe in. Growing up on a farm in a small rural community, art and
art forms were not part of our daily vocabulary but the need was always present and I focused more on the creative writing process. It has only been in the last ten years that I have channeled my creativity through painting. What a glorious way to honor the beauty in nature, a special moment, or cherished people in my life. Networking with other artists and building upon those relationships have made me appreciate even more all artistic endeavors. Paul Hawken once said, ‘Always leave enough time in your life to do something that makes you happy, satisfied, even joyous. That has more of an effect on economic well-being than any other single factor. Being a watercolor artist brings me that satisfaction and happiness
