Laurie Van Mondfrans has been metalsmithing for the past 15 years, combining her love for art and nature, designing one-of-a-kind pieces with Argentium Silver and Gold, semi-precious gemstones and intriguing cabochons. Recycling silver using the lost wax casting method, casting botanicals, found objects and formed wax are transformed and pieces are incorporated into designs. She enjoys the processes and challenges designing and fabricating a piece of jewelry and then seeing the end result catching someone’s eye and connecting with it.
