Hi there! I’m Michele Spry, a fused glass artist from Columbia, Missouri! I fell in love with fusing glass back in 2018 when taking a class with a friend and decided to make a small business out of it! I love creating unique works of art in my home studio and operate this business on nights and weekends. I have a passion for creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces that are purchased as gifts to give to others or simply a gift for yourself. You won’t find two of my pieces the same… perhaps from the same family or using material from a specific batch but never identical to one another which is what I love! Each of my items are hand pieced by me and the real magic happens in the kiln when each piece is fired. I love textures and love the idea of having “touchable” art therefore I fire my artwork in the kiln long enough to give a unique feel to the glass. As your fingers slide across the smooth yet rippled glass, I want the customer to have a special connection with a colorful piece of art they are going to purchase or give as a gift. I am always learning and figuring out new ideas and techniques to better my skills as an artist. It’s been an amazing journey thus far and I always try to give back to our community in meaningful ways. Being the reason someone smiles is the best feeling, giving them a piece of art made by me makes it all worthwhile and I certainly try to do that whenever I can!
