News update from juried BOMH artist Lorraine McFarland

I was a winner of the FASO Bold Brush Outstanding Pastel Award in January for my painting “Max, Lit.”
Just after a week of studying with pastel master, Richard McKinley, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, I won First Place (works on paper) at the White River Plein Air in Cotter, Arkansas for my pastel painting “Bed, Breakfast and Beauty”! (Attached)
Next, I’ll be going to Eureka Springs Arkansas Plein Air, then to Fulton, Missouri for the Callaway County Plein Air event and then in June, I’ll be going to Steelville, Missouri Plein Air!
I will teach a 2 day pastel workshop on July 7 and 8 at St. Peters Missouri Cultural Arts Center. I will be teaching an ongoing monthly class at St. Peters Cultural art Center beginning in August on the 2nd Thursday of each month.
I will teach 2 day pastel workshop on July 22 and 23 at Art House in Fulton, Missouri.
