SOLD This luminary is made from the bottom half of a bottle gourd. The design was wood burned then painted with transparent acrylics. Next the gourd was pierced allowing rays of light to create a lovely pattern not only on the gourd, but on the surrounding surfaces as well. Turkish beads were inserted to create red flowers with yellow centers around the back of the gourd adding a soft glow of color to the scene. Variegated gold foil was applied to the center of the flower for a little extra interest and shine. This luminary is lit with an LED bulb which is included with the piece.
