'Happy Holidays' This poinsettia oil lamp is made from a canteen gourd. The design was wood burned into the surface and painted with transparent acrylics before the surrounding area was skinned and stippled. A swish of filigree provides added interest as well as additional texture. Finally, metal leaf was applied to the frame encircling the design, enriching the border with a bit of pizazz.
