SOLD "Over the Rainbow" This music/trinket box was created from a tobacco box gourd. All the butterflies and flowers on the lid were created with pyrography alone, no paints or inks added. The surrounding area was skinned then stippled with my carver before the embossed cloisonne'border was added to the edge of the hinged lid. The bottom has three carved ripples that have been stippled in blue and tan acrylid paint with a sea sponge to add interest and dimension, while coordinating with the silky wedge wood blue inner fabric.
