Presidents Letter – Angela Walleman – October 2016

Dear Friends,

Happy autumn! I’ve had a wonderful time meeting and visiting with many of you at the numerous art fairs, festivals and shows this summer and into the fall. Our members are a hardworking and talented group.

The Best of Missouri Hands continues to grow and welcome new Juried Artists and members. Our organization’s dedication to the development and recognition of Missouri’s Artists and Artisans has never been more evident.

Every time I visit with a BOMH member at an event, it reinforces for me the importance of offering regional and networking opportunities. With that, our next annual conference will be held in March 2017 in Cape Girardeau, so expect an announcement with the date and details in the coming weeks.

I’m happy to announce that BOMH will participate in the Art @ Des Peres Hospital Fall 2016 – Spring 2017 curated exhibition. Several BOMH Juried Artists will join artists from Art Saint Louis, St. Louis Artists’ Guild and the Foundry Art Centre in exhibiting artwork that will encourage patients during the healing process at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis. Look for more opportunities in the coming year!

Don’t forget- it is time to cast your vote for new and renewing BOMH Board Members, so please take a moment to vote. Voting is open until October 14^th at 8:00 p.m. Your vote matters to us!

This is an exciting time in our organization as we welcome new talent to our Board and we move forward with our plans to offer more opportunities to our members and the public.
