President’s Letter

The Best of Missouri Hands is fortunate to have the advice and counsel of an engaged board which supports The Best of Missouri Hands Executive Director Martha Greer. Keeping in mind feedback from the very active membership, this group has been instrumental in setting the strategic direction of the organization. Wherever your passion lies in the arts be it creating artwork, or supporting the arts and artists of Missouri, BOMH offers membership and donor opportunities to suit your needs and interests. BOMH provides its members with valuable exposure of Missouri arts and artisans. We encourage a wider understanding and appreciation for artists and their work.  The Best of Missouri Hands makes every effort to provide the kind of sensitive support and environment that allows artists and arts organizations across Missouri to fulfill their potential.

Arts and culture are part of a broader creative economy and they make an important contribution to economic growth and cultural tourism wherever they exist. We work with partners, including schools, arts organizations  and businesses to explore opportunities in the creative economy and remove or reduce barriers that inhibit growth of the cultural sector.

Despite the economic pressures we all face, this is an exciting time for arts and culture. By thinking long-term and working strategically with partners, we believe arts and culture in Missouri can continue to grow.
