Brown-Eyed Susan

I love Brown Eyed Susans - they grow wild and free in our pasture. These are hand dyed alpaca fibers from my herd arranged on a batt of natural white fibers in such a way as to resemble the flower. Hot water & soap is added to felt the design into a felt as thin as paper. Once dry, I added free-hand machine stitching and of course beads to resemble the prominent seed head. Then hand sewn onto a matt before framing.
