Apron Workshop

Join the Foundry Art Centre for a creative and fun workshop inspired by our current exhibition, “Apron Strings: Ties to the Past.” Taught by Exhibitions Manager and Fiber Artist Melissa Whitwam, class will begin with a guided tour of the exhibition to gather ideas for your apron design. Following the tour students will get the chance to create, embellish, and personalize their own apron. Melissa will go over basic fiber art techniques in mono-printing, stenciling, screen printing, stamping, and painting to bring your apron to life.

The Foundry will provide all the materials to get creative and let loose. Our only requirement is that you bring an apron to decorate and have a good time.
