ArtSmart 2013 –Through the Kaleidoscope

ArtSmart 2013 will offer a weekend full of education and interaction. The conference schedule is full of engaging and informative breakout sessions, opportunities for attendees to make new connections and activities that will allow registrants to enjoy, create and celebrate the arts.  In addition to the professional development sessions, activities will include special pre-conference activities, receptions at area galleries, hands-on workshops and much more.

Reed McMillan will present our  opening address: Seeking Inspiration: Changes that Compel Creativity and Lead to Success

Navigating turbulent times—personal, social, economic, political—can affect creative souls in a variety of ways. Some artists retreat to a place where their creative juices barely flow, while other artists thrive by finding a voice that drives their creativity. Seeking and nurturing inspiration to motivate and inspire are key components to create successful works of art and lead to greater financial success. This presentation will explore sources that can inspire positive outcomes in today’s marketplace.

ArtSmart will be held March 15^th – March 17^th at the University Plaza in Springfield MO.  Partial funding is provided by The Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
