ArtSmart 2020 Cancelled

ArtSmart 2020 has been cancelled. Originally we moved the date from April to July, however we feel it is in the best interest of everyone involved to cancel ArtSmart 2020. No need to fret though, we have already rescheduled for April 9-11, 2021. Same great place…Stoney Creek Inn, Columbia, Missouri. Same great speaker….Carolyn Edlund of Artsy Shark. Same great opportunity to learn, meet new people, discover new things, and hang out with your creative friends. We are so excited! It’s going to be a grand time for all!

Save the date…April 9-11, 2021.

In the meantime we have already scheduled two fantastic online workshops with Carolyn, to help keep you updated and moving forward with your art career. Mark your calendars now for May 12, 2020 at 3:00 pm and May 26, 2020 at 3:00 pm.

Topics will include:

SELLING ART ONLINE – This presentation focuses on ecommerce options for artists and how to use them. Options for third-party sites and their differing business models, benefits, costs, pros and cons. Best practices for individual artist websites including hosting platforms, site structure, functionality, visual and written content with accompanying checklist to be downloaded. Attendees will be able to understand the variety of choices they have and what fits them best, as well as gaining a clear overview of selling through their own artist website successfully.

MARKETING ART ONLINE – This presentation will cover online marketing for artists, ranging from social media posts and advertising, to email marketing, search traffic, and gaining backlinks from press and other sites. Materials will address messaging, creating incentives, structuring offers, and growing a subscriber base, as well as direct social media platform sales. Downloadable marketing checklist will be provided to all attendees.

We can hardly wait. Links will be posted on the Best of Missouri Hands Member Only page and an email will be sent out as a reminder. Please make plans to join us as Carolyn helps us to navigate the future of selling and marketing your art online.
