Award of Excellence – Menagerie Exhibit – Art St. Louis

Best of Missouri Hands juried artist, Patty Muenks, was so happy to have her Ceramic Walking Pots selected for an exhibition at Art St. Louis in August.  The show entitled “Menagerie” called for artwork of all mediums that featured animals, critters, beasts, and creatures real or imagined.

In her Artist Statement, Patty describes the inspiration for these unique sculptures…”Walking Pots sprung from my imagination as I pocketed stones and bits on the hiking trail. I envisioned creatures with legs to travel and pockets to hold treasures along the way. Each Walking Pot embodies its own unique personality, with strong legs for the journey and pockets for gathered mementos. What adventures await them next?”

During the opening reception, Patty was pleasantly surprised that her submission “Quartet” received an Award of Excellence.  If that wasn’t enough, Patty is also happy to report the Walking Pots have been sold!
