BOMH Strategic Plan

The BOMH Board of Directors is looking forward to a period of growth and development in the next three to five years. To that end, we have undertaken the task of crafting a new strategic plan for Best of Missouri Hands. Our goal in developing an entirely new plan is to determine how we can marshal our resources to ensure we are doing everything we can to maximize the effectiveness of BOMH to our members.

We identified what we believe are our strengths, weaknesses opportunities and threats. We identified ways in which we could turn our weaknesses into strengths, and threats to opportunities. We then developed specific goals which we believe will move us in the direction to reach our strategic initiatives.

We realize we cannot be all things to all people.  However, with careful planning and a focused effort, we can determine what actions we can take to maximize our resources to serve the needs expressed by our membership.

We are concentrating our efforts in five distinct strategic directions:

1. First, we want to have a strong and effective Executive Director, supported by an active and engaged Board of Directors. Further, we want a relevant committee structure that incorporates membership input.
2. Secondly, we want to ensure we have the financial resources to support our goals and objectives.
3. Thirdly, we want to focus our efforts on maximizing the benefits to our membership and to do all we can to ensure each member is aware of what their membership offers. The BOMH website will play a big role in this effort.
4. Fourthly, we want to offer programs and services that are appropriate and important to meet the needs identified by the our diverse membership.
5. And lastly, we want to market our programs more effectively to promote the strength and growth of BOMH.

Each of us on the Board of Directors look forward to working with the membership and with our committee structure to move the organization forward.
