BOMH Website Upgrade Update

BOMH Website Upgrade

The BOMH website is now back online after undergoing an upgrade. It was time to improve the member database to provide for better reporting and better tracking of our members’ membership details. The new database will provide for more thorough, easier monitoring of our membership.  Importantly, members can now expect to receive emails directly from our website to remind them that their dues are coming due and to keep them better aware of their membership status.

As a part of this upgrade, once it’s complete, members will find more information about their BOMH membership when they log in to their account.  Orders you place via our website will be recorded there, better reporting of your membership and dues status, easy updating of your personal information (address, email, etc.) and, for Juried Members, simple updating of your images and other information on your Juried Member page.

I do have to admit, though, that we have not quite finished getting all the details.  We had to make sure the site was up and running for the February 1 opening of the Winter Jury session.  Some of the functions on the member account page are not yet complete.  We still need to plug in more of the information users see when they go to Juried Member pages.  There may be some cropping of images when a thumbnail is clicked which we need to fix.

Also, some images from Juried Members’ galleries may be missing, with just the image title showing.  We believe this may be from when the site experienced a problem last fall, and that you may just need to re-upload those images, or delete them so the title doesn’t appear.

So what I am saying is we’re not quite done yet – give us another month to complete the process before you jump in to edit your page.  Let me know of things on the web site that don’t appear to be quite ready for prime time (admin@bestofmissourihands.org) .  I might already know about it, but that’s ok.  Please have patience; we’ll get ‘er done.  It’s just the nature of the beast.
