CALL FOR ARTISTS – Creamery Art Center – Springfield, MO

Arts Council calling for artists for August exhibition, “At Play”

The SRAC is pleased to announce The Creamery Arts Center’s August exhibition, “At Play.” The exhibit invites artists to make artwork with an eye toward the bright and spontaneous to say goodbye to summer with a fun, vibrant show. “At Play” will open with a free, public reception on First Friday Art Walk, August 7, 2015 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and will remain on display through Friday, August 28, 2015.

Artists “at play” draw inspiration from music, dance, games, sports, and fun in the sun. They utilize movement, color, and sometimes nostalgia to evoke delight and joy from the viewer. The SRAC encourages artists to create work centered on ideas of summertime, such as biking, dancing, growing, gardening, swimming, cooking, or anything that embodies summer and “play.”
