About Us

About Our Art

Primitive bone and shell adornments tell us about the people of prehistory. Flesh and blood humans, like us, saw these things as special or maybe even magic. While wearing these objects next to their skin, they loved, danced, held their children, and worshipped their gods. Jewelry, even now, tells a story about both the wearer and the maker.

I have become the maker and storyteller. My stories are told with hammer marks, texture, and oftentimes beautiful stones. These creations from me are often metaphors for a full life, well lived. Beauty, balance, and texture reside there. Sleek perfection tells its story once and then has nothing more to say.

Early makers and metalsmiths inspire me, but I use modern techniques to reinterpret ancient designs. Using sterling silver and 18 kt gold, precious and semiprecious stones, my jewelry might appear to be ancient artifacts from a civilization that never actually existed.

When I am working, I channel those ancient makers and time essentially stands still for me. It is a peaceful and energized time, sometimes described as “flow”. This is the energy that travels from my heart and hands, to you.

May you feel the magic.
