Executive Director’s Letter

Martha Greer Executive Director with Bob Gerdes President of BOMH new corporate member, Excelsior Springs Cultural Guild

As I peruse our newsletter, I am struck by the range  of programs, communities and artists served by BOMH.

BOMH exhibits and artists will be seen in  very different venues coming up: in Branson at Silver Dollar City, September 13 – 27 during the Harvest Festival and the Made in Missouri Exhibit and in St. Louis, during ARTstravaganza at the St. Louis Artists Guild, November 9 – 11,  Both are wonderful and we are looking forward to participating in both.

Through regional exhibits and activities, we are reaching out and working in communities all over the state, from the Southeast to the Northwest, and in between.

Our membership represents rural and urban artists of all ages and levels of experience.  They are skilled in  traditional as well as modern art forms.  They represent the highest level of artistry, creativity and craftsmanship and are recognized as some of the best artists and artisans in the state. They are  painters, silver smiths, glass blowers and much, much more.  Just take a look at our featured artisans, both very different, yet the same in their shared passion for what they do and high level of artistry.

It’s a pleasure to work with an organization that equally appreciates and serves the many different art forms, communities and artists of Missouri!
