Hannibal Art Council News – November 5, 2015

Bluff City Theater presents

The Maze Runner

Friday, November 6

Saturday, November 7 at 2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.

Admission is free although we gladly accept voluntary donations to support our educational activities.

Tickets are available at the door.

Come early as each performance is limited to 90 seats.

Regularly, over the past year, a small group of youth ages 13-19 have been working together with BCT Youth Coordinator Clark Cruikshank to create their 2015 theater project, an adaptation of the popular novel The Maze Runner.  Set in a dystopian Universe, the Maze Runner taps into the angst of youth as they battle to solve the mystery of The Maze while learning to live and work in a world without adults.

The youth are members of BCT’s YETI group (Youth Education in Theater Initiative) an innovative multi-year progressive program that introduces young people to all aspects of theater, from scriptwriting, producing and directing to performing, set construction, lighting and sound.  YETI combines experience in the theater with leadership and collaborative skills development.
