Long Time Member Jane Domke Supports BOMH

Jane Domke founded Juno Glass Art and Jewelry in 1996, creating fused glass items such as functional serveware, jewelry, magnets, holiday ornaments and sculptural pieces. Her colorful, imaginitive pieces sold through museum shops and fine craft galleries across the country. Jane’s work reflected her love of textiles from the US and around the world.

Many of you know Jane, as she was a juried member of the Best of Missouri Hands. Several years ago, Jane retired both from her Psychology practice and her glass art business. She has been liquidating her glass art stock, but as anyone who makes jewelry knows, it seems to multiply in the dark of night. So Jane suggested Peggy King try to sell some of the remaining pieces at Fall Into Art, a small arts and crafts show held in Columbia in October. Jane insisted that all of the proceeds be donated to Best of Missouri Hands.

Jane’s jewelry was a big hit, and brought in $275 over the weekend, even at deeply discounted prices.
