Martha Greer – Grants & Regional Activities

A huge welcome back to Martha Greer.  We are delighted she is re-joining the board and bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and skills.

Martha Greer has extensive experience in arts education, program management, grant writing and nonprofit arts administration.  Over the course of her career, Martha has been the Director of the Chillicothe Area Arts Council, Director of Missouri Western State University’s Center for Community Arts (CCA), was awarded the St. Joseph Mayor’s award for Arts Educator for her work with CCA and served as the Executive Director for The Best of Missouri Hands.
Greer has volunteered for numerous regional and statewide organizations dedicated to education and the arts and humanities. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Missouri Humanities Council, served as Vice President of the Missouri Association of Community Arts as well as the Missouri Arts Council Citizen’s Grant Review Panel in the area of Folk Arts.  Greer was a member of the Allied Arts Council’s Arts Education Committee and volunteered as Fine Arts Chair of St. Joseph’s Trails West Festival for three years.
She is currently Coordinator for Board Relations for the American Angus Association.  American Angus Association is the nation’s largest beef breed registry with approximately 25,000 members.
Greer is an artist working mainly in watercolor.  In 2017, her work was awarded 1st place in watercolor as well as overall Best in Show at the Albrecht Kemper Museum of Art member show.  She lives in St. Joseph MO with husband Jared.  They have three children, Lewis, Liv and Will.
