Learning photography was initially a therapy assigned to me to aide recovery from two brain tumor surgeries. It quickly became a passion. Ansel Adams once compared photography to music. He said, “the negative is comparable to the composer’s score, and the print its performance.” Similarly, “Music is what color sounds like.”* Photography became the music that I dance to.

My work is inspired by passages such as, “Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains!” (Isaiah 49:13), and “The earth has music for those who listen.” (Reginald Holmes). It is my joy to “paint” the art gallery of God’s creativity in camera, with waves of radiant energy and light…sun-rays, waterways, pathways…

Each new day is a wonderful gift that I get to celebrate with a colorful song in my heart, and a camera in hand.
