Dear Arts Enthusiasts
You’re the Southeast Missourians who take part in some form of art appreciation in our region, reaching from St. Louis to the Missouri Bootheel (from Southern Illinois to Poplar Bluff MO. The Arts Council of SEMO, founded in 1961, supports and stimulates the creative spirit of the arts. (for all of us)
When I moved to Cape Girardeau a couple years ago, I was delighted to find the Arts Council of SEMO, and all it offers for the expansion of the arts and for those who want to be involved in artistic endeavors. The Arts Council provides numerous programs and artistic events throughout the year which includes:
First Fridays
Pop Up Movie Nights
Children’s Arts Festival
Visual Arts Cooperative
Arts Council Members Exhibition
Wednesday Night Drawing Group
River Campus Summer Arts Festival
Christmas Arts and Crafts Extravaganza
8th Congressional District High School Art Competition
….and many other creative events.

Individual $35 / seniors, military and co-op $25
Family $60 / seniors, military and co-op $50

We thank you for your consideration and we hope to see you downtown in the Historic District at First Friday for a delightful evening. The Arts Council and Visual Artist Co-op Gallery, located at 16B North Spanish St, presents new exhibits in the galleries each First Friday.
