Nela Navarrine exhibiting at Green Door Art Gallery
Time to meet one of our artist of the Botanicals and Blooms exhibit at Green Door Art Gallery. Our spotlight is on Oil – Encaustic – Resin artist Nela Navarrine
Let’s learn more about Nela and her work. My mediums are oil and encaustic. I paint large and vibrant botanicals with both mediums on boards or inside the resin. Working with layers of hot wax or resin gives depth and transparency to my work. Nelida “Nela” Navarrine grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the University of Buenos Aires and moved to St. Louis in 2009. Her interest in painting began twenty years ago as a way to find a new passion in life. She studied since then with excellent teachers that taught her to find “colors in whites” and to “look deeper” into the world around her.
