New Lidded Boxes – Juried BOMH artist Dan Burelson

Lidded Boxes are made from hard maple.  I textured the inside top and bottom then airbrushed with dyes.  Using the EZ Threading Jig Pro from Chefware Kits http://www.chefwarekits.com/ez-threading-pro-xl-jig-thread-cutter I cut 10 TPI and 16 TPI threads so the lids screw on.  I turned the outside and burnt lines on most for dying patterns on the outside.  These have been very popular this year and I have more in the works to get done and send to galleries.

Basket Illusion platter is made from hard maple 16” diameter with Moring Star pattern.  I drilled holes around the edge and dyed raffia the same colors I used for the pattern then wove it around the edge.
