The Best of Missouri Board of Directors wants to publicly thank Martha Greer for her many contributions to the success of BOMH. We wish her the best of luck in all her future endeavors and all opportunities that will surely arise.

As we embark on the next chapter, we gratefully acknowledge the contributions of all who have worked so hard for the organization. We look forward to helping each of our members/artists grow in the understanding and appreciation of “The Best of Missouri Hands.” We are focused on how we can continue to bring meaningful opportunities to you.

At the heart of this effort is the Board of Directors desire to support and enable artistic excellence to flourish; ensuring everyone has access to high quality arts experiences and promoting debate and discussion about what excellence really means.

We want to unleash a greater range of Missouri’s artistic talent, firm in our belief that better art is created when opportunities to experience the best in art are open to all.

This is an exciting time for arts and culture. By thinking long-term and working strategically with partners, we believe arts and culture in Missouri can continue to grow in strength.

The Board of Directors job is to support and enable each member. We believe that promotion of arts and cultural events gives all of our members increased opportunities and exposure. We want to work harder at collaborating with other arts organizations that benefit the community and thus provide individual artists greater  access to arts and cultural programs and opportunities.

In July 2013, the membership will vote on new board members. At the July 17, 2013 board meeting, the board will then elect four members to serve as the Executive Board. As I pass the gavel to a new President, after one and a half years, it has been my pleasure to serve each of you, I have had a wonderful experience serving the artists of Missouri.
