This a great time to be a member of The Best of Missouri Hands. We are a growing, exciting organization with a rich history.

The Best of Missouri Hands was conceived in 1989 be an arts organization that puts at its core serving artists in the state of Missouri. The Best of Missouri Hands reaches widely and deeply into our communities to enhance the lives through a broad array of arts  enrichment.

We are looking forward to the upcoming events:

  • The Best of Missouri Hands at Silver Dollar City, Made in Missouri Exhibit and Harvest Festival, – September 13 – October 17, 2012

Thank you Jeff Walker, BOMH Board Member, Silver Dollar City Master Craftsman and our SDC liaison.  Thank you to Melynda Lotven and Sam Davisson BOMH Juried Members and SDC liaisons, and a special thank you to Silver Dollar City!

  • ARTstravanganza, a Juried Showcase of the Juried and General Membership of BOMH, November 9 – 11, 2012, Saint Louis Artist Guild, Two Oak knoll Park, Clayton, Missouri.

Thank you to the ARTstravaganza Committee: Don Crozier, Chair, Rita Seif, Nancy Koehler, Gail Crozier, Lee Richards, Connie Copley, Kathlyn Miller and Robin Ragsdale.

  • ArtSmart – March, 15, 16 ,17, 2013, University Plaza, Springfield MO. The 24th annual conference will be held at the University Plaza in Springfield Mo. This 3 day educational conference will feature nationally known speakers and workshops to benefit both new and experienced artists. This conference is open to the public. Speakers over the years have included Eric Booth, Bruce Baker, Bill Hunt, Keith Recker, Jason Hjores, and other notable experts in the arts.

Thank you to the ArtSmart Committee: Don Crozier, Dale Augustson, Mary Benjamin, Dodie Eisenhauer, Peggy King, and Sandy Kolde.

BOMH offers a limited number of financial assistance awards for members to attend ArtSmart and for professional development activities. The forms and information will be available in October.

The Best of Missouri Hands is an incubator for ideas, community building and the power of shared vision. We gratefully acknowledge the contributions of all who have brought us thus far. We look forward to helping each of you grow in your understanding and appreciation for the arts.
