In the morning session you will learn the basics of working with pastels including materials, supplies, the importance of design, composition and value, and working from photos vs. plein air.  Get a good start on a pastel painting!  If you already know the basics and morning is convenient for you, you are welcome to come and just get to work painting. Lorraine will be available to answer questions and guide you.

The afternoon session will introduce some more techniques, but will be less structured and Lorraine will guide you as you practice your pastel skills.  This session is geared toward those who do not need a review of the basics but want to just get to work on a pastel painting!

Students must have their own pastels.

A list of other supplies will be provided when you enroll.
