Strange Times

Dear Friends and Fellow Artists,

I hope this newsletter finds you well and spending some time doing things you love. This is a strange time for sure and feels alien to me and you probably feel the same.

We struggle to make sense of this chaotic and fluid situation. We are human beings first and artists second, so it seems over whelming and counterproductive to our creative self. We may find that we struggle to work in our studios or workshops. One day looking much like the rest and we find ourselves going about our day to day activities on auto pilot.

I urge you to take the time each day to do something creative. It does not have to be all consuming, complicated, or earthshattering; just connect with your creative center. Use that energy that lives with in all of us to energize and strengthen.

This may seem a small thing in the scope of what is happening around us, but the process of creating, is mighty, is cathartic, and is at the core of who we are as human beings. So please take a deep cleansing breath and create…

“There’s so many things that life is, and no matter how many breakthroughs, trials will exist and we’re going to get through it. Just be strong.” Mary J. Blige (singer and song writer)
