We’ve Been Listening

Our new Executive Director, Andrea Quiroz Jira and your BOMH Board members are working together to address the feedback from you regarding both the BOMH website and the Forum. Following is a short update on our progress. At the end of this article you will find e-mails and phone numbers of people you can contact for help.

The Website:
We have a new programmer working on a cleaner, easier to navigate website. We know some of the information currently existing is outdated. We are reviewing each page with an eye to making information more apparent with links to pages with more detailed information on a given subject.

As it relates to Juried member pages:

• Each juried member has a unique password to log in and have access to managing your individual webpage. You can access your password and other account information by logging in and then clicking on “Account.”
• Your Profile page (or the page seen by the public) is accessed by clicking on “Profile.” That is where you will write in the information describing you and your art. The profile link is also where you upload your images. Each juried member can upload as many as 15 images.
• We are working on a more visual instruction to guide juried members, but we are also providing e-mails and phone numbers if you wish to have help, or even to have someone do the work for you. That way your information will be up and then you can more easily learn how to make changes.

The Members Only Forum:
The good news: we are working on a completely new format that will be easier to use and provide a lot more member only information. This is a massive task, but we want to take the time to get it right. A plus with the new Forum: we will have a comprehensive membership list so all members will have a web presence. The non juried members will have their name, medium and any contact information they wish to have included, eg e-mail, website, etc. We don’t have a time for you yet when we anticipate completing this task but we will keep you informed.
