Art at Des Peres Hospital – Fall 2016/Spring 2017 Exhibit

Art @ Des Peres Hospital is a unique endeavor to connect and inspire our community through the work of local artists and enrich the lives of hospital patients, staff, and visitors. It is well documented that art can help in the healing process. This program was developed to help alleviate some of the strain of a hospital experience. Art can take us out of the moment by giving us something else on which to focus. It is our hope with this exhibit that we can create a richer environment and a more pleasant experience for patients, guests, employees, and medical staff.

Art @ Des Peres Hospital Fall 2016-Spring 2017 exhibition opened mid-November 2016 and features 107 original artworks in a variety of media by 17 St. Louis regional artists representing the four parntering artists’ organizations: Art Saint Louis, The Best of Missouri Hands, Foundry Art Centre, and St. Louis Artists’ Guild. The exhibit continues through April 30, 2017 and is free and open to the public during regular Hospital visiting hours, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Best of Missouri Hands artists have been selected for the next exhibit which will open in May 2017.  The following juried members will participate….Dave Carter, Kim Nunemaker Powell, Linda Green-Metzler, and Adrienne Rosen.
