Facebook and the BOMH Family

facebook-likeI admit to a love-hate relationship with Facebook. I once swore to have nothing to do with it. But when I was elected to the Board of BOMH, I realized that Facebook just might be the ideal way to get to know the membership of the organization better – and by extension allow them to get to know me.

The fact is, Facebook provides Best of Missouri Hands members a valuable opportunity to keep up on news, events, successes and opportunities. The MAA/BOMH Facebook page, located at https://www.facebook.com/maa.bomh is administered by Kim Carr and myself. Our goal is to keep our BOMH family informed and energized between bi-monthly issues of our on-line newsletter, In Touch.

We invite everyone to “like” our Facebook page… So far we have over 860 likes. That means there are a whole lot of non-BOMH members who are receiving information from BOMH’s Facebook postings. Among those ranks would be fellow artists and art appreciators, gallery owners, arts administrators and the general (art buying?) public. Can you use free exposure like that? Heck yes!

If you haven’t already, please come by and “like” the BOMH Facebook page. Then, go ahead and post there. Let us know what you’ve been doing, about awards you’ve won, about calls for artists, about opportunities and events. Post some photos. Have fun. We all know artists can be an isolated bunch. Through Facebook, the BOMH family gets to know each other better. And that’s a good thing.
