Perks of Being a Juried Member

Who doesn’t love a good perk… and I’m not talking coffee!  Everyone always asks… “what’s in it for me?” Well, when it comes to your juried member page, the first thing that comes to mind is VISIBILITY. Yes visibility. Your artist statement, your work, your category, your website, contact info, business name, everything is easily searchable by gallery owners, retailers, show promoters, collectors and your everyday art lovers.

As a juried member of The Best of Missouri Hands, you have a page within the BOMH website that allows you to promote yourself and your work to those interested in a certain medium, style or perhaps they are specifically seeking out Missouri artists!

BOMH Website

With the new website updates, we are now given the opportunity to build our own page following the simple template provided.

  1. Go to The Best of Missouri Hands website at www.bestofmissourihands.org
  2. Upper right corner – Sign In
  3. Upper right corner – Go to Profile Page
  4. Upper left corner – Go to Edit
  5. Add a photo icon of yourself or featured work of art
  6. Add an artist statement or bio
  7. Add images of your work. Your page will hold up to 15 images to show off your creations.

Be creative, have fun, tell your story and give the folks something to look at… load up the images!

You now have the flexibility to go in and update your page as often as you like. Photos of your work and a bio are much more interesting to a possible buyer than a blank, non-descript page. Make yourself visible; take advantage of this wonderful perk the BOMH has to offer its juried members. If you are in the business of selling art, whether it’s at your local county fair or to a major gallery in Paris, help get your work seen by utilizing this opportunity.

Buyers shop differently now than they did even just five years ago. They utilize the internet to make purchases, seek out artists that interest them, follow their work, where they are and what they are doing. Make it easy for them to find you.

So sit back, pour yourself a cup of something good to drink and get that page updated so you can enjoy one of the many perks of being a Best of Missouri Hands juried member.
